Update: Launch of Okeanos Explorer dive missions brought forward

In a previous post I said that the live streams of the dive missions, carried out by remote controlled dive robots that are launched from the NOAA research vessel Okeanos Explorer, would begin on September, 9th.


It appears that condidions have been vavourable during the preparation phase for the mission.
It's now said, that the first dive will already happen tomorrow,

September, 7th, from about 8 am to 5 pm HST (2 pm to 12 am EDT).

Just now they are still en route to the dive location, and you can see the dive robot standing on deck of the ship.
