Australian Snakes are puppy dogs compared to a Mamba!!!

i recall being in a lake just adjusting a tube that was holding the rope securing the boat. as i moved the pipe i looked inside the pipe to check on the rope condition. from about 2 feet away a pair of eyes looked back at me. this is about the exact moment realized i was in a staring contest with a snake ! ! !
i think firstly i froze then have no idea nor recall how i got out of the lake, literally i forget ... i phoned the govt to remove the snake which they promptly said they would not and then i said what if the snake has an accident to which they replied they were very prepared to prosecute me ! ! !
for the next three months i got a fearful dread every time i even walked past the boat on the shore front, then i thought i should have 'dealt' with the snake and then felt guilty for even thinking such a thing...
LoL snakes, give me a spider almost every time :)

/ Hugz ;)

Australia is always the exception to the rule. The ONLY place where venomous snakes species out number harmless species!

Box-jellyfish, Cone shell, sharks, crocodile, stonefish . . .

Our Australian story :

Tourist " Are there sharks in these waters ? "

Aussie " No ... "

( Tourist jumps into the water ),

Aussie " There used to sharks ; but the crocodiles cleaned them out " . . .
