Thermal infrared images of water mixing

Hot water is poured into a bath tab prefilled with cold water:

The reverse -- cold water entering hot water:

Wondering why the plug at the bottom is invisible? Because water is opaque in thermal infrared. You literally see only its thinnest surface only here.
