Hello buddy .. This time I want to write about Juanita Mummy. Curious? Let's go to read

Juanita's mummy or in Spanish called Momia Juanita is a frozen body of an Inca girl estimated to be between 12 and 14 years old and died between 1440 and 1450.

The estimated 500-year-old mummy was discovered by anthropologist Johan Reinhard and his climbing partner Miguel Zarate at Mount Ampato (part of the Andes mountains) south of Peru in 1995.

In addition to being regarded as the mum's most awake invention of its condition compared to other mummified discoveries, it turns out Juanita's mummies also have other interesting facts for us to know. What are the facts? following his review

  1. The Ice Maiden (Virgin Ice)

Mummies first discovered on September 8, 1995, also known as "The Ice Maiden" which means Virgin Ice, because this mummy was found in a state of freezing and estimated to die as a teenager is aged between 12 to 14 years.

  1. Inca tribe

Inca tribe in the past, known to give sacrificial offerings to their gods, now Juanita Mummy is one of the victims. He was elected to be sacrificed so that the Inca residents got a water supply from the god Ampato.

Why children who should be victims? because, according to some sources, in ancient times among the Incas, children were regarded as pure, unspoiled, utterly clean, worthy of sacrifices to their gods.

  1. Before Sacrifice, Eat to Fat

National Geographic Explorer-in-Residence expert Johan Reinhard says Juanita's Mummified body is the most awake of all the other mummified discoveries ever found in the world.

Experts also believe the victim died a few weeks earlier, proving that the Incas had fed a good and fat body before being sacrificed to their gods.

  1. Considered the Most Important New Invention by Time Magazine

Since the mummy condition that remains intact after 500 years, by Time magazine, was chosen as one of the most important new discoveries in 1995. Even this mummy was also brought around the United States in 1996 and Japan in 1999 before being returned to Peru.

  1. Stay intact Although already 500 years old

As discussed before, that Juanita mummies is the most preserved of all other mummified discoveries, even clothes worn like clothes, shoes and others are still awake despite the experts believe that this mummy is aged 500-year-old.
