Grand Solar Minimum: Major 7,6 Earthquake Outside Of Honduras

A major earthquake occured last night off the coast of Honduras. It was a very shallow one, and usually they are more dangerous, but fortunately this one happened in the middle of the Mexican gulf.

However, it did create several minor tsunamis around 30 cm´s (0,98 feet) but so far it does not appear to have caused significant damage.

Ths USGS issued a green alert for shaking-related fatalities and economic losses. There is a low likelihood of casualties and damage.

During Grand Solar Minimums there are more earthquakes and volcano eruptions so have that in mind for the next 30 years. It would not be wise to go on a holiday to an island with a very active volcano for instance.
