Elliptical galaxies and spiral galaxies and star clusters

in science •  5 years ago

Comparative galaxies.

The spirals we are most familiar with, the ellipticals and clusters not so much.

Elliptical galaxies and clusters are older, less active, more sedate and have few if any star forming regions. They have also run out of dust with more old yellow stars than young blue ones.
