This kinda says it all!

Each time we have record global temperatures the year its recorded and the seasonal curve plotted in this animation by Nasa.

Notice that the last couple of years the divergence has been progressively greater.

Seems like we may have hit a tipping point. Possible even a point of no return since feedback mechanisms have kicked in.

scientifically speaking sample of 100 years says absolutely nothing...im not taking sides here but since you tagged it "science" i beg to differ...trying to come to any conclusion based on this feels like trying to prove a point without almsot any evidence:)

This graph simply depicts the measuring of the pulse, there is a mountain of good data behind this diagnosis stretching back millenia via ice cores, paleo-climate data, speleothems etc. etc.

Closing eyes and saying that 100 years of science is not good enough is exactly why we're in this mess right now. Even common sense should trigger at this point in time when looking at the extreme heat over the last year.

as i said im not taking sides here...i jsut say taht 100 years are nothing compared to millions of years that earth is alive...that is very simple fact...back then the temperature couldnt have been measured...taht is also sad truth that doesnt help scientific claims that now the cycle is different than it used to be...we only estimate...mankind does influence the cliamte...we dont know how much...hack we are still changing discoveries as to which chemical is the important one (it is not CO2) ...whoever wants to pretend taht he knows better is not corret...the guess can be right...and it can be false...those are all guesses and canot be scientifically proven...i personally dont care...i do what i can do on my own (like eating "home made" meat, recycling, saving electricity when i can and having some solar panels,...thats about all i can do...still saying that we prooved global warmign is bullcrap to be totally honest...the person who claims that is simply incorrect (but can be right) i support people that want to raise awareness and motivate people to do something...i think that people that are goign around saying that it is all proven and we die soon if we dont change are just easily swayed by non--facts:)

Nobody is wrong here I feel. The recorded data set - however limited - is what we have to work with at this time. If it indicates that climatic extremes are becoming more frequent and ever more extreme, we should act on that information.

Saying climates have fluctuated since the beginning of time really means nothing scientifically speaking, as we don't understand fully when or why this happened, just that it did.

We have cold hard data for the last 100 years so that's what we should go on. If we're still around in another 100 years then we'll have double the data and a better picture. That's science!

The data tells us what's true until it tells us something else...

I don't trust NASA. I think most of what they produce regards to climate is total bs.

These unusual peaks are really concerning. Analysis or not, changes are considerable.

We have in Siberia all week every day at -44 degrees! 😞

I can believe that
