Introduction:

Civil engineering or civil engineering is the science that studies the stability, resistance and security of all buildings, be they buildings, works of art, ports, roads airports ..... etc.

And given the innovation and the important advancement in recent years in the field of construction, the civil engineer has been faced with a situation where it is very important to advance in parallel from where it is introduced in the computer science domain by basing mathematics (finite element method) to create software to minimize the time of repetitive calculations.

Several companies have worked in this area namely the CSI and AUTODESK leaders in the field of structural calculation and modeling modeling.

Today the civil engineer can go further and faster and move forward with all other areas.

Working method of the modeling software:

Several types of software exist on the market in our days depending on the language of the user and the desired version depending on the importance of work developed for example (Robot, SAP2000, ETABS, Plaxis, 3D Plaxis, AUTOCAD, COVADIS) each software has his field of use or engineer these days has the choice to use according to these interests.

Design software plans, design software, calculation and modeling of structures in civil engineering or geotechnical everything is simple everything is fast using the computer.

To model a structure for calculation in civil engineering one must first have the geometric design developed by the architect or the engineer in public works or also the hydraulic engineer according to the nature of the work to study.

after having the geometric design we model the structure by following the required steps according to the type of the software and entered all the necessary information to have the geometry, the nature of the materials to use the dimensions of the elements of the structure calculated by the specialist in civil engineering.

Then the loading data of the structure in construction site and during the construction service to study as normal situations and also accident situations, earthquake wind and geological problems that can cause problems for our structure.

Finally, start the calculation and obtain the results giving the stresses applied on the construction to allow the dimensioning of the elements of the structures (foundations, superstructures, floors and stairs ... etc).

This operation can take a few hours for a structure of 15 to 20 floors instead of several months for a structure of 5 to 10 floors in the past and its thanks to technology.
