The Executive Director of Tesla and Space X announced his plan to colonize Mars, setting out many points from his road map and how to get people to the Red Planet. And he is not thinking of taking a small colony of humans who are thinking about living the life of Mars, as he is looking to get 1 million people there over 10,000 flights.
Elon Musk revealed his vision of what Space X would look like on Mars, saying he wanted people to believe that the creation of a colony on the Red Planet would be possible during our lives.
The founder of Space X, the space exploration firm, has discussed the possibility of creating a human settlement on Mars several years ago. The company is currently planning to send a robotic mission to Mars by 2024 and says that manned missions could begin as early as 2024.
He said that there are two basic ways for humanity, either to stay on the ground forever, and finally surrender to the extinction event, or turn into "space carrying civilization and multiple types of planets."
Musk says the latter options are "the right way to go," adding that Mars is actually the only option in our solar system:
We can think of the moon, and I have nothing against going to the moon, but it is much smaller than the planet, it has no atmosphere, it is not rich in resources like Mars. The day consists of 28 hours, while the day of Mars is 24.5 hours. In general, Mars is much better at the end of building a self-sustaining civilization.
It would be quite fun to be on Mars because you have gravity that is about 37 percent of that of the earth, so you will be able to lift heavy objects. Moreover, the day is largely close to that on Earth, we only need to change the population because we currently have seven billion people on Earth and not on Mars.
Musk, who explains how Space X will establish a city on Mars, said there are many obstacles to be overcome. First, the cost. He said the price of a trip to Mars should be reduced so that anyone wanting to go would be able to. And he said:
You can not create a self-sustaining civilization if the ticket price is $ 10 billion per person.
Musk believes that the city threshold self-sufficient on Mars will be a million people. Current calculations suggest it will take between 40 and 100 years to "achieve a self-sufficient civilization on Mars."

Any suggestions, ideas or feedback welcome! @hamzaoui
branson has been trying to just do sub orbital flight - now musk wants mars! give me a break. We cannot build anything on the moon, let alone Mars! We ain't leaving Earth.
