This article is great and very well written. To answer, I think we definitely need more sustainable energy options going forward. However, I think we need to change the public's perspective on renewables if we are going to change energy consumption, especially in the US. Alot people tend to have the opinion that if we go with renewable energy vs fossil fuels it would be ecologically beneficial, but not financially. This simply isn't true. According to the US Energy Information Administration, wind and solar energy alone are expected to grow at a rate of 12-15 times the job creation rate of conventional energy production methods. Of course, there are many more avenues besides wind and solar, but you get my point. Good article tho.
