#Science: How do you feel about cloning animals?

in science •  7 years ago

In the video below are Zhongzhong and Huahua - they were created in a laboratory after a successful cloning procedure.

The same cloning procedure which created Dolly - a sheep-clone.

Dolly was 'born' on July 5, 1996 and died just over six years later on Valentine's Day 2003.

She was euthanized following severe arthritis and progressive lung-disease. (Finn Dorset sheep generally live between 11 and 12 years).

Zhongzhong and Huahua are genetically identical - watch the video below to see how they were created.

Some suggested evidences says that we have been achieved such technologies in far past and it led to human destruction and seems we taking this path again.

A second clone-war it seems... Yes, I read of a race of species 'genetically similar' to our species which is supposed to have populated the planet eons ago. There are a multitude of theories around this - some claim a big comet wiped out all species when a giant fire engulfed the planet all the way through to this one of cloning.

If you see ancient technologies then we have more questions than answers. For me personally it is clear that once we where advanced already in past but different type of technology what we see today.

Perhaps an endless cycle destined to repeat itself?

Yep! And seems we are at tipping point in history. Very unique time to live. All depends on us very much!
