So guys, have you ever wondered about what has a role in making our future bright ?? Well, the answer definitely is NOT a light bulb. It is solely our dedication towards our work at present . Similarly, have you ever been striked by the question that why does our room appear brighter even at night ?? And yes, we all know the answer is because of LIGHT BULBS ! So, who do you think or been taught as the inventor of LIGHT BULBS ??...Was it really Thomas Alva Edison ?? Or was it someone else ?? Let's find out that here !

The answer for the question might shock you. Actually, in reality, Edison didn't 'INVENT' the light bulb, rather he improved and modified upon a 50 year old idea. Long time ago, in 1875, Henry Woodland, an inventor from Toronto, along with his fellowmate Mathew Evans, patented a light bulb ! But unfortunately the two entrepreneurs could not raise the finance to commercialise their invention.

Then the enterprising American, Thomas Alva Edison, who had been working on the same idea, bought the rights to their patent. Edison had the backing of a syndicate of industrial interests with $50,000 to invest. Finally, using lower current, a small carbonized filament, and an improved vacuum inside the globe, Edison successfully demonstrated the light bulb in 1879, and made a remarkable history.

Sir Humphrey Davy of England invented the first electric carbon arc lamp in 1801. A.E. Becquerel of France theorized about the fluorescent lamp in 1857 .

Sir Joseph Swan of England and Thomas Edison both invented the first electric incandescent lamps around the 1870s.
