Lungfish are freshwater rhipidistian fish belonging to the subclass Dipnoi. Lungfish are best known for retaining characteristics primitive within the Osteichthyes, including the ability to breathe air, and structures primitive within Sarcopterygii, including the presence of lobed fins with a well-developed internal skeleton.
Today there are only six known species of lungfish, living only in Africa, South America and Australia. While vicariance would suggest this represents an ancient distribution limited to the Mesozoic super continent Gondwanaland! The fossil record suggests advanced lungfish had a widespread freshwater distribution and the current distribution of modern lungfish species reflects extinction of many lineages subsequent to the breakup of Pangaea, Gondwana and Laurasia. Lungfish have historically been referred to as salamander fish.
The most interesting thing about Lungfish they can survive most rough environment. They can survive without food and water by hibernating themselves inside the ground. Like putting themselves inside a environmental made bag.
They totally live underground year and year. They only come out when they get their perfect environment to reproduction and survive.
By applying this character of lungfish our scientists trying to find out the hibernation process of human. If they will get success then human being also survive hibernating themselves during long distance space travel.
If it is possible then, it will find the new era into the human kind. Let's hope for better for the supernatural invention.
