Water:a universal need

in science •  7 years ago

Water is the dominant component of livinh organisms, all chemical reactions needs an aqueous environment in which water serves as the best, typically organisms are constituited of 70-90% of water. Water functions in various and in essential ways
1- water acts as a transport medium: water helps in transporting various materials, bio molecules and nutrients variably essential for different processes.
2- water is regarded to as a universal solvent: this means water can dissolve a wild range of compounds, e.g organic molecules, chemical compositions and macromolecules which is essential during biosynthesis.
3- water helps in maintaining body temperature: due to water high specific heat capacity;which is the amount of heat energy required to change the temperature of water by 1°celsius, and water high latent heat enables a stable temperature in living organisms and prevents us from burning up when exposed to the sun.
Water is exceptionally useful to living organisms, science exposition, experiments and basically living.
Water has one of the simplest composition that is one oxygen atom covalently bonded to two hydrogen atoms , water has a neutral pH which makes it safe for intakes and experiment. Truly we can see that water has no counterpart or replacement.
