Launch of Parker Solar Probe as seen from Stuart, FL

This video was taken about 2 minutes after the launch of United Launch Alliance's Delta IV Heavy Rocket carrying the Parker Solar Probe, which is beginning its voyage to the sun.

It will enter into an elliptical orbit around the sun and venus for a period of about 7 years, and will come closer to the sun than any other spacecraft ever has (about 6.5 million kilometers/4 million miles).

It will primarily be studying the solar winds.
