Here I am with a new drawback for the stellar engine I talked about it in my post I was replying to @ anomaly’s comment and this thing came into my mind that Caplan thruster would definitely affect our solar system and I thought I should share it with you guys.
Well I had this in mind everything , our every action has both positive and negative impacts, and due to this fact I have got defect of the stellar engine that we want to use in order to move our solar system.
Our Sun is growing, everyday having thousands of fusion reactions occurring on its surface. There will be a certain time when our Sun will die, blew itself up and flush other planets in Solar system into the blackhole created by it. We all know there will be an end of the world. As the Sun will absorb too much matter it is absolutely going to blow up but stellar engines like Caplan can greatly help in this threat to all of us.
DEFECT
Scientists have made stellar engines what they call Caplan thruster, the passive stellar engine was Shkadov and in my opinion it was very dangerous to be built. However, we later came up with the idea of Caplan thruster. According to Dr. Matthew Caplan (the inventor of Caplan thruster) says that Caplan thruster will absorb the photons and radiation from Sun in order to power itself to move the Sun from an incoming threat.
According to me Caplan thruster is absorbing Sun’s radiation and its gases (that’s what present science says it is made up of gases Hydrogen and Helium mainly) then It is making Sun younger because its absorbing the Sun’s extra matter that Sun will produce again with the fusion reactions on the Sun.
When talking about our Solar system’s travel it would be of trillions of miles using trillion gallons of fuel to move to safe zone. If Caplan keeps absorbing Sun’s radiation, Sun will have less force of gravitation. At this time I am thinking What was our solar system like after big bang, all planets were a greater distant from Sun, our Sun was small he was like a kid he didn’t had much force of gravitation to pull planets close to it, into it. It was attracting planets, Mercury was at the place of Venus and others were also a little bit more farther from Sun.
If Caplan thruster derives matter into itself The Sun will get young not that much, that it was after big bang but younger than now so do you understand my point?
there is a particular zone around the Sun called “habitable zone”. A habitable zone around a Sun is the place where life can take place evolution can go by and creatures can take birth and live. I wonder our planet came into the habitable zone first time during the Triassic Period when dinosaurs evolved from ocean, according to current facts. At this time our planet is currently in the habitable zone and we are able to live on Earth.
Every year Sun is getting more stronger, older, it pulls the planets with a greater force every year than the last year, that is making our planet farther towards Sun and once there would be a time when Mars might be in habitable zone and there will be no Mercury, I mean it had fall into the Sun. Now you understand the point? A little bit more explanation, I guess.
IF we use Caplan thruster it would absorb extra matter and non-required matter (not required to Sun) to power its thruster to move the Sun. This will definitely move our Sun to a new place and will make it younger, but we are talking about millions of years here, if Caplan thruster moves Sun a million of years this will cause Sun to get younger and like I said the younger the Sun will be the less force of attraction it will have, this will drive the planets a more distant. This might cause us Earth to be in place of Mars and Venus in place of Earth.
And then we can’t absolutely survive if my hypothesis is correct.
Defect:
If Caplan thruster absorbs matter and photons continuously from Sun for a long period of time, this will cause Sun’s force of gravitation to affect the orbitals of planets in the solar system.
*The orbitals would not be deteriorated but they will become longer and days in a year will increase too.
*This will definitely draw us out from habitable zone.
