Downvoting a post can decrease pending rewards and make it less visible. Common reasons:

    Thanks! The fact of having a separate PW for posting content allows to scale the number of contributors. We also have this new "resteem" feature that allows to share content in a more efficient way.

    We are still at an early stage of steemit, so we'll see how it evolves.
