To begin to understand, a video is called for to brush up on what happens when a large object in space accrues enough mass to collapse into a sphere, because of it inherent gravity, and then acquires a rotation. Please watch the video below.

Now concerning the shape of the earth specifically:
"The shape of the Geode, as it is called, is nearly a perfect sphere, but because the earth is spinning, it is about 21.5 kilometers flatter at the poles, and bulged-out at the equator by about the same amount.
There are also other 'higher-order' shape deviations which make the Earth slightly pear- shaped with a larger southern hemisphere surface area than in the northern hemisphere, but at a level of a kilometer or so in radial girth.
The biggest effect, though, is its polar flattening. If you had a basketball to represent the Earth's spherical average shape, the flattening would be 21/6500 = about 1/300 the radius of the basketball or 1/32 of an inch...give or take."
[Figure 1]{Above: Representation of earth without the water present]
But even more interesting is what happens when we take a look inside of what would be occurring in earths interior. My research has yielded that a massive spherical object that acquires a rotation would not only be flattened at the poles, but there would also be openings. Because of the nature of the angle of the centrifugal force being applied at poles (and throughout) it would result in polar openings that would lead smoothly into what would be a hollowed out earth. The openings would be present at the flattest point at the poles and the largest amount of mass would be at the equator due to the centrifugal force.
[Figure 2][Hollow earth configuration}
This is possible because the rotation of the earth would compact the mass outwardly due to the centrifugal force in conjunction with the inward pulling force inherent to its gravity that would retain its shape. And because the object is suspended in space there is room for the earth to expand to where it is currently. This is similar to what happens when a chef spins a pizza over his or her head. The mass would compact outwardly while the mass at the center would progressively become thinner and thinner until an opening would occur. This Phenomena is explained by Newtons' second law: Force is equal to mass times acceleration or F=ma.
Concerning travel into the earth:
I previously mentioned that the openings would lead smoothly into the hollow earth and I meant it. One would not fall straight through. But instead would be able travel along the the curved crust of the openings and continue to travel along the interior crust.
To understand phenomena please consider the following:
[Figure 3] [the disk earth]
Lets theoretically imbue the above coin with the approximate constants of the mass and size, and speed of the rotation, of the earth. Normally an object this big would collapse into a sphere in the vacuum of space, but for the sake of this explanation we will pretend that this configuration is stable. Let's examine how gravity would be experienced on all the planes on such a planet.
Standing on the point of origin on one of the parallel sides one would experience gravity at a complete rest, just how we relatively experience it on the surface of the planet earth. As one moves closer to the edge of the disc, relative to the point of origin, the more it progressively feels like one is walking up a hill, then a mountain, then a wall (90 degrees) at the edge.
Until, finally, one reaches the surface at the edge where one can stand at a complete rest (0 degrees) just like it is experienced in the point of origin.
The edge surface serves as a representation of the gravity configuration on the surface of the earth relative to center of gravity, which is as we have established previously in Figure 2 pictured above , is surrounded in all dimensions by mantles and the crust.
Therefore, relatively speaking, one would be able to walk along the interior crust because the speed of the rotation of the earth is constant all throughout the planet.
NOTE: I theorize the center of gravity is around 400 miles or 643.738 km from the surface to the earths' core as illustrated in figure 2. This accommodates for the volcanic activity that would occur on the surface or ocean floor. Magma originates from the asthenosphere, which is found at a depth of 95 km from the ocean floor. There is enough room for the ensuing mantle, outer core, and of course the core (and all the activity that entails) in this model.
