In cars, trucks and other vehicles with a cabin, it is easy to incorporate technological gadgets to make life easier for the pilot and his companions, but when it comes to motorcycles, things get a bit complicated basically due to lack of space because we only have a small board and in some helmets the visor.

En los automóviles, camiones y otros vehículos con cabina es fácil la incorporación de gadgets tecnológicos para facilitar la vida del piloto y sus acompañantes, pero cuando se trata de motocicletas la cosa se complica un poco básicamente por falta de espacio pues solo disponemos de un pequeño tablero y en algunos cascos la visera.

On the other hand, the layout of the dashboard can affect the pilot's attention on the road, so it is not convenient to abuse its functions, for this reason the only solution seems to be the helmet visor or, failing that, the pilot's glasses and the BMW company knows this and has launched ConnectedRide Smartglasses, smart glasses for motorcyclists.

Por otra parte, la disposición del tablero puede afectar a la atención del piloto sobre la carretera por lo que no conviene abusar de sus funciones, por ello la única solución parece ser la visera del casco o, en su defecto, las gafas del piloto y la compañía BMW lo sabe y ha lanzado ConnectedRide Smartglasses, unas gafas inteligentes para los motoristas.

The BMW Motorrad ConnectedRide Smartglasses can be connected to the mobile phone via Bluetooth, where an application must be installed through which it will offer us data such as speed, the speed limit established for the road or the gear engaged, all projected on these smart glasses so that the pilot does not have to look at the handlebars.

Las BMW Motorrad ConnectedRide Smartglasses se pueden conectar al teléfono móvil a través de Bluetooth, donde se ha de instalar una aplicación mediante la cual nos ofrecerá datos como la velocidad, el límite de velocidad establecido para la vía o la marcha engranada, todo ello proyectado en estas gafas inteligentes para que el piloto no tenga que mirar al manillar.

Of course, it also integrates a navigator that can show only indicative arrows or a more complete navigation with street indications and more precise data, all of which can be adjusted before starting to drive or while riding through a multi-controller installed in an accessible way on the handlebars of the motorcycle.

Por supuesto también integra un navegador que puede mostrar solo flechas indicativas o una navegación más completa con indicaciones de calles y datos más precisos, todo esto puede ajustarse antes de empezar a conducir o durante la conducción mediante un multi controlador instalado de forma accesible en el manillar de la moto.

Obviously the design of the ConnectedRide Smartglasses has been made taking into account the needs of motorcyclists and these glasses have been prepared to adjust both to many different helmet designs and to different types of face, in this way the glasses can be worn during the long journeys in comfort.

These smart glasses have a lithium-ion battery that gives them an approximate autonomy of ten hours and can be charged on the same motorcycle in a couple of hours. They are sold in two sizes depending on the distance between the pupils, as well as their case, charger and other accessories for the modest price of €690.

Estas gafas inteligentes llevan montada una batería de iones de litio que les da una autonomía aproximada de diez horas y pueden cargarse en la misma moto en un par de horas, se venden en dos tamaños dependiendo de la distancia entre las pupilas además de su funda, cargador y otros accesorios por el módico precio de 690 € .
