Chinese scientists have acquired great achievement in the field of medical science. They invented an artificial heart with the help of rocket technology for the patients who need heart transplant. They have already tested it on animals. China Academy of Launch Vehicle Technology and the Teda International Cardiovascular Hospital worked together to build this artificial heart.
Now the artificial heart is kept in under testing after it was fully experimented on animals. Nevertheless the artificial heart may be sent to clinical trials, according to state-run Global Times reported.
However patients still need to go for heart transplant process as Chinese government hasn’t yet given the approval for the use of artificial heart. Patients may have to pay 100, 000 euros (around $152, 800) for an imported artificial heart. China will have to produce the artificial heart if they want to provide benefits to their citizens. The artificial heart produced in home town could cost lower than imported one.
In 2017, the artitificial heart made by Fuwai Cardiovascular Hospital is placed in three patients. These hearts have also been produced using magnetic levitation. The artificial heart will be implanted in the patients who are waiting for a heart transplant or it is impossible to transplant new heart.
But heart transplant is still impossible for the patients who don’t have huge money. Though it is a great invention in the medical field, but it has no value for poor patients. The patients with huge money can choose this option.
