Milky Way is on track to merge with Andromeda in just 4 billion years - I say just because our Solar System will still be alive.
By that time, I believe, our souls will be kept in digital format and all bodily activities will be done by machines. Our future generation will discuss how their great grand parents used to do conjugal activities to create new life form!
By that time we will be either be well extinct or colonizing some other part of the Milky Way. :) Either way, our descendant species will be as similar to us as we are to mosquitos today.

If we begin colonizing the Milky Way, the separation between populations will cause several species to emerge. Given 4 billion years of this process, the species we spawn may be as different from each other as we are different from an octopus.
