hi steemit , i'm going to write about common dental problems every-day if i had a time after going back from clinic

Dental hyper-sensitivity what is it and what causing it and how we can over come this problem ?
hyper-sensitivity means an exaggerated sensation more than the normal it maybe expressed as sharp not painful last for few second but in a continues manner .
also it might be stimulated by air , breathing , eating sweet things as candy or even drinking juices or emotional situation
What causing Dentinal hyper-sensitivity ?
there are many causes for this situation i'll mention the most common of them
1-Improper tooth brushing technique as like forceful brushing of teeth which in turn induce gingiva (gum) to go downward and expose part of the tooth root .
2-caries on teeth especially on the neck of the teeth near gingiva their might be pain mild to moderate but still pulp isn't involved which can be easily manged by just removing the caries and placement of restoration.
3-using tooth pick or wooden pick improbably which can traumatize your gum .
4-gengival recession( reducing gum) most common especially in older people .
5- open dentinal tubles in direct contact with oral cavity which stimulate discomfort or even pain .
treatment of such a problem ?
it depends on the severity of the condition
but there is a recent treatment is technology based on arginine which offers a rapid relife of hyper-sensitivity as it provide sealing for dentinal tubules
gingival graft incase of recesstion is the cause can eliminate the whole problem .
laser also effective in treatment of such a condition as it completely plug the open dentinal tubules .
