Autonomous quadrocopter float forever.

A wide variety drones are developed from the palm size to the one carrying people. Most of it flew after charging and recharge again after returning.

But if you are flying under the sun, is not it more efficient to do photovoltaic generation. The students at the National University of Singapore developed an autonomous drone that can float through with solar panels.

It is no longer a drone but a flying solar panel, of lightness and spaciousness.

The secret is a structure using carbon fiber material and ultra-light silicon solar panel. Although this is loaded with 148, it is only 2.6 kg weight combined with all four rotors.

The surface area is about 4 square meters, which is reasonable, but this is an autonomous flight and it can float in the air of 10 m above the ground. Moreover, it does not need a runway and floats vertically on the spot.

Aaron Danner said: "Our aircraft do not rely on onboard batteries, so we can fly for as long as there is sunshine. Unlike traditional quad co-drone, it is not limited to flight time"

It can also control remotely and autonomous flight by GPS. Emergency solar power generation in disaster areas, delivery of photographs and small packages, and on-site inspections. Even when the weather is unstable, you can also install a battery, so the usage is infinite.

This unmanned drones became Asia's first success. Even though the idea seemed simple, it tunes various calibration factors such as energy efficiency, weight, and propulsion power.

It became a good hands-on class for the students.
