The Dinosaurs, strongest creatures, which have prosperous for 15,000 years. Was it the reason meteorite fall lead to mass extinction? Many scientists thought this point unnatural and continued the investigation.
Recently, it seems that negative eruption of the submarine volcano has been newly added to the negative chain.
Approximately 66 million years ago, asteroids about 15 kilometers in diameter came down to the present Mexican-Yucatan Peninsula. At the same time, 75% of the plant life and animals that existed on the planet died out. It is not so difficult to find a causal relationship between these two.
The impact of the meteorite has caused chain reactions such as earthquakes, tsunamis, fires, the rapid temperature decrease of environmental disasters, and eventually, it has driven dinosaurs into extinction. A meteorite strikes, the sunlight is blocked due to the dust being rolled up, the climate suddenly fluctuates, and the animals and plants containing the dinosaur will be extinct one after another.
According to research by Joseph Byrnes published in advances Sciencemag, in addition to causing those environmental hazards, the meteorite collision seems to have broken off the seabed off the Yucatan peninsula like a shell of eggs. Cracks run along the structure plate from there, and it seems that magma spewed out from the rift and caused a massive ocean eruption.
I believe that the impact of the meteorite that fell on the Yucatan Peninsula has been transmitted to the whole earth as a tremorous earthquake shaking and has reached the ridge. Earthquakes triggered, intense volcanic activity broke out near the ridge at the same time on a global scale, releasing a large amount of magma. This impact should have been tremendous.
The ocean bottom eruption would have been a cause of mass extinction.
But it seems not only that. Another environmental disaster occurred in another place almost at the same time. It is a Deccan Traps in India. It was the most extensive and tremendous power of the volcanic activity that has occurred on the earth until now. Some scholars think that most of the animals including the dinosaurs were killed after most of the plants were killed, climate change occurred due to gas and dust released in to the atmosphere.
Some scientists thought that the collision of meteorite destroyed the dinosaur and the other caused the volcanic activity, and some scientists thought that the two were the result of combining.
How the collision of the meteorites activated the volcanic activity, cause the earthquake and tsunami, wind up the dust, darken the sky, shield the sunlight and turn it into a dark cold world It seems necessary.
Unless these bad lucks overlap, the dinosaurs still exists as strongest creatures ever. If so, we may be living thanks to the meteorite.
Interesting information! Thanks to the meteorite and volcano.... I cannot imagine how we can survive if the dinosaurs still exist.... ;)

I think..., in general dinosaurs are gentle giants... like modern-day rhinos and elephants. So even they exist still we able to live @tangmo
