SUMMARY OF THE NEWS
Artificial intelligence solutions can only become stronger and better if they get access to new data. Unfortunately, it appears some AI companies are inadvertently given access to information they should never access in the first place. Google’s DeepMind has accessed UK medical data by accident, even though it has a partnership with the UK’s National Health Service.
I think it's pathetic that someone would be upset over an AI violating their medical privacy to help other people, and really it would be bad if they were upset even if it weren't helping people because there's nothing to be embarassed about - an AI isn't passing judgements like humans do it just takes the data and looks for patterns. I think all medical records from all hospitals and anywhere else that has them should be given to AI like DeepMind and IBM Watson so that we can all live better and longer lives. Trying to keep them private is selfish and absurd, the same as hiding medical history from your doctor while you're dying and hes trying to help you.
