Its not that something is pushing us down, but that we settle downwards.
Gravity doesn't exist, what keeps us settle on the ground is vibrational frequencies.

So in attempt to keep this simple:
-Sound is a pressure wave in which the vibrational frequency opposes a form of matter, like helium for example seemingly has no measurable frequency for being so fast that it doesn't vibrate, it can rest or repel upon the opposing frequencies which cause the air to have density. In a vacuum there would be no pressure, so no sound waves can push up and oppose the vibrational frequency of the helium balloon.

Those same frequencies that force helium up, also force matter that is more dense down.

Its rather simple disputing gravity when you understand that God spoke all of this into existence and it is His Word that resonates all throughout everything. The fact that stars exist is proof that space is water. Stars are created by sound, sonoluminescence. It is impossible for them to exist in a vacuum.
