In just 5-15 years, reforestation has repeatedly been proven to : bring back underground water sources in rural and mountain communities, restore regular rainfall, defeat desertification, etc.... AND JUST IN SMALL LAND AREAS! If reforestation corrects micro-climate, it can help correct global issues, especially in conjunction with everything else humans shoul be doing.
