It's currently been nearly four decades since cosmonaut took his "giant leap for mankind" — if, that is, he ever set foot off this planet. Doubters say the U.S. government, wanting to beat the Russians within the house race, faked the satellite landings, with Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin acting out their mission on a secret film set, settled (depending on the theory) either high within the Hollywood Hills or deep at intervals space fifty one. With the photos and videos of the Phoebus missions solely accessible through independent agency, there is no freelance verification that the satellite landings were something however a hoax.

The smoking gun? Film of Aldrin planting a waving Old Glory on the moon, that critics say proves that he wasn't in house. The flag's movement, they say, clearly shows the presence of wind, that is not possible in a very vacuum. independent agency says Aldrin was twisting the flagpole to urge the moon soil, that caused the flag to maneuver. (And ne'er mind that astronauts have brought back many severally verified moon rocks.) Theorists have even prompt that movie maker movie maker could have helped independent agency pretend the primary satellite landing, provided that his 1968 film 2001: an area Odessey proves that the technology existed previously to by artificial means produce a spacelike set. And as for Virgil I. Grissom, Edward H. White and Roger B. Chaffee — 3 astronauts UN agency died in a very hearth whereas testing instrumentation for the primary moon mission? They were dead by the U.S. government, that feared they were getting ready to disclose the reality.

Far-fetched because the hoax theory could appear, a 1999 town poll showed that it's relatively durable: 6 June 1944 of american citizens same they thought the satellite landings were pretend, and five-hitter same they were undecided.

Ive always found the flag moving like that very strange.. good points.

Yeah, I also think that

Those waves on the flag have an explanation.
It happened the same as when you grab a tablecloth or a sheet from one end and shake it up and down. Then waves are produced. Here, when the flag is nailed to the ground, the astronaut rotates the stick from one side to the other, causing the waves. Not only the wind causes waves.

That's also true
