Absolutely the drug companies want to make money and they make more money from long term medications. However, that doesn't mean those medications are without benefits. Steroids can help people with growth disorders or low testosterone. The problem isn't the drug its incorrect usage or over prescribing. Its when people demand stuff from their doctor or self medicate without realizing how powerful the drugs they are taking really are.
