Betelgeuse, the star about to explode.

The famous star Betelgeuse began to lose much of its brightness, something that could indicate that it is very close to exploding as a supernova.

Betelgeuse is the ninth brightest star in the night sky and it has been dying for a long time that this sun, 643 light years from the earth, depleted all the hydrogen in its nucleus and began to fuse helium to continue feeding its nuclear reactions, when this occurs the star exponentially increases its volume until it becomes a red super giant, eventually ending in a supernova explosion.

Betelgeuse is at the ideal distance so that this explosion is not dangerous, but close enough to shine the same or even more than the full moon for a few months, when a star transforms into a super red giant, it is normal to see its brightness diminish, but it is that in recent months the magnitude of Betelgeuse has fallen so much and so fast that it is no longer among the ten brightest stars of our sky, it is not the first time this has happened, but since the first change was recorded centuries ago in its magnitude, it had never been seen before with such a low brightness.

This means that it is about to explode, because the truth is that we have no idea, we were already clear before it will happen in the next 100 thousand years, but it is the first time we have observed an anomaly, so from now on We cannot do much more than observe Orion to see what happens and also say goodbye just in case.
