Interspecies Telepathy Is Already A Fact

Telepathy no longer looks so unrealistic.

US scientists at Harvard Medical School have made progress in the transfer of thoughts. The study was published in a scientific publication PLoS ONE. Researchers have been able to pass on information between human and animal brains in the first-ever telepathic experiment in it's kind. With the use of a brain-computer interface, the volunteers involved in the experiment have caused a rat to move its tail. The electrical activity of the "telepaths" brains was read by electrodes. When the computer reads the brain model, responding to the thought of "throttle your tail!", A special device directs an ultrasound impulse to the brain center of the rat that controls its movements. In the end, about 1.6 seconds after the command is sent, the rat obediently moved his tail. Each of the volunteers has managed to do this, with the success rate of "telepathy" being 94%.

At first glance, the potential benefits of these unusual experiments seems completely unpractical. However, in the near future, this technology can help create a link of telepathic channel between people. For example, it would be possible for a therapist to "get in the mind" of a paralyzed patient to help regain control of his body. - Source

Not really telepathy but I agree the potential is huge as you said @rossenpavlov. imagine if a doctor could feel the symptoms of their patients. It would make a diagnosis so much easier.

I may have exaggerated a little bit, technically it's not telepathy, but the implications are promising.

Very promising indeed. I wonder how many anglers there would be if we could wire up a fish to feel what it was like to be on a hook? The same could be said for many such human/animal encounters. Could potentially be a game changer in humankind's interaction with the natural world.

Interesting concept, given the fact that fish do not feel they way humans do.

Ok, I didn't know that but the concept remains for other animals. Thanks for the article link - interesting read. You learn something new every day :-). Followed you by the way.

Followed you back.

great article, science and telepathy - who would have thought it. Next they'll be bending spoons!

Another execellent Post..

Thank for reading!
