What is the ECG?

ECG (Electrocardiogram) is a device that produces graphical results with the help of electrodes in order to diagnose possible heart diseases. ECG is used to diagnose many diseases from cardiovascular diseases to chronic heart failure.

How is ECG taken?

It is easy to get ECG and it is painless. While taking ECG, the bed should be laid over the back, the clothes should be removed so that the ankle braids remain naked and the chest area should be kept open. A transparent liquid is then applied to the areas where the electrodes will be placed and metal plaques are placed on the ankles that resemble mandalas. Electrodes are glued to come to some parts of the chest. After this process is completed, the results are displayed in the form of a long paper, removed from the ECG device. All this takes a maximum of 5 minutes.

In which situations is the ECG performed?

ECG is a method used to diagnose heart diseases and common types of heart problems.

The ECG can be chosen by the doctor in the following situations:

• Irregularities in heart rhythm called arrhythmia
• In heart defects
• Problems that may occur in the heart valves
• Problems related to coronary artery disease, blocked or shrunken vessels
• Sudden cardiac arrest
• In case of a previous heart attack

What can be observed as an ECG result?

ECG results in a consistent heart rhythm of between 50 and 100 minutes per minute. If the heart is slower or faster than these values, it can give many clues about heart health.

The ECG gives information about:

• Provide information about heart rate pulse rate.
• Can provide information about the heart's rhythm.
• Can give information about heart attack.
• The heart can give information about oxygen and blood going.
• Can give information about structural abnormalities in the heart.

awesome article thanks for sharing

ECG Electrocardiogram (ECG) is a test that measures the electrical activity of a heartbeat. An electric wave forms with each stroke of the heartbeat and travels through its parts, causing the contraction of the heart muscles to pump blood from the heart. This test does not cause any pain or danger; it does not send electricity to the body
