It's about the overall race to get to space and start exploring the universe. Humanity isn't meant to stay on Earth forever :)

      Well, i care about Earth and its well-being but that doesn't mean we shouldn't be exploring outside of our little planet :) Plus, a lot of research and development we do for space travel can be applied to areas here on Earth!
