THE WAR BETWEEN SCIENCE AND NATURE

As times pass by, living things evolve but the rate of evolution slow when compared to the rate at which the already existing ones go extinct.images-1.jpg photo source:strangescience.net
Discoveries of science has contributed generously to the menace of organism's extinction. Most science project are very detrimental to natural organisms like wild life either in the marines, terrestrial or the aboreal habitat. Even plant are not left in the detrimental effect of sciences. images-2.jpg

The zeal of man to conquer territories has made him deploy science as the only means to achieve his goals and objectives. On daily basis, scientists deplete nature through their inventions and activities in an attempt to create their own artificial environment. science has posed a serious challenge to organisms living in their natural habitat.
According to the cosmologists, Stephen Hawking, I quote "The human race faces one of its most dangerous centuries yet as progress in science and technology becomes an ever greater threat to our existence. The chances of disaster on planet Earth will rise to a near certainty in the next one to ten thousand years. Hawking said most of the threats humans now face come from advances in science and technology, such as nuclear weapons and genetically engineered viruses. images.jpg

He added that “We are not going to stop making progress, or reverse it, so we must recognise the dangers and control them".
I think it is high time we create awareness about the dangers that science is posing to nature and it's effect to the ecosystem. This is a war between science and Nature.
