Early high voltage experiments

Some of my high voltage projects that were done in the late 90's by serfer4

The lifters uses the 30KV high voltage from the output of a computer monitor. The lifters them selves are made of aluminium foil skirt and foam board with the paper backing removed and the high voltage wire on top of the aluminium skirt. These projects are done with dangerous high voltage and should only be done by trained professionals.

Test one: Vertical lift ( the high voltage wire is on top of the skirt )

Test two: Horizontal thrust (same design as test one )

Test three: Flat lifter ( the high voltage wire is to the side of the aluminium skirt, not on top )

The next two tests are a bit different in that there is no high voltage wire but instead uses plates but the principal is the same

Test four: Plate charge ( there is a single plate at the front and 5 at the back, the plates charge like a capacitor and when charged it moves forward )

Test five: Large lifter ( this one uses a front plate and a skirt with stacking two devices together )

That first test reminds me of a horror movie special effect.

wish i had a better camera back then but i did loose my computer from the high voltage, won't be doing that again.
