Classification of the Food we Eat

A lot of us just eat everyday, we just eat what we see or have in our possession, but we don't really know the benefits of those foods, when to eat them and how we should take them daily.

In our daily meal what we are consign about is the fact that we are getting satisfaction from the foods, not really the nutritional and functional benefits of the food. And as we see they are a lot of food in which having different benefits, functional and nutritional values, that is what brings me to the classification of food.
Because people don't know the type of food they are eating and how they are supposed to eat them that is why most people falls into victims of diet problems and so on. So i would like to share a little i know on the types and kind of food we have.

Majorly they are six classes of food excluding water but people still regards water as a food so let's make it seven classes of food. Which are protein, carbohydrate, fats and oil, mineral salt, vitamin, roughages and water.

Starting with the protein: most food that are protein or proteinous in nature are usually characterized with the building of the body, they help also in the growth of young children and also helps in building up of cells and tissue and replacing the bad ones in the body. Common food in these category are egg, fish, cheese, meat, chicken, groundnut and so on .
Carbohydrate is also a class of food, food in these class are usually characterized with the process of production of energy for the daily work, it also helps in building of in building the strong part of the body which includes the bone, they also help in maintaining the body internal temperature. Examples of food in these category are yam, rice, maize, millet, corn, bread, potatoes and cassava
Fats and oil this is another class of food it is also characterized with the production of energy for the body, they produce fats and soluble vitamin for the body, they also help in the maintenance of body temperature during seasonal change.
Examples of food in these category are animals or plant with oil which are palmoil, groundnut oil, soyabean oil, butter, fish, cheese and margarine.
Mineral Salt: this also a class of food which contains majorly salt. And what does this salt does? The are required in the body for metabolic processes, they are important in the and to be taken like the other classes of food. Most of the mineral salt are gotten from the food we eat in little quantity and even in some medicine we take.
Vitamin: this is also an important and crucial class of food, these vitamin are mostly required by the food, they help in healthy and normal growth of a person. The results of lack of vitamin in the body is deficiency of some part of the body and it can be a serious and severe one. They are a lot of vitamin and as well as were they can be found in the other classes of food. They vitamin is very important as it is the class that determines the healthy growth of an individual.
Roughages: The roughages are indigestible fibrous food or materials which are formed from vegetables, Fruits, carbohydrate and protein. The lack of intake of the roughages could results to constipation of the body. It is important to take this a day.
Water: as we all know water aids digestion, it helps in the maintenance of the body internal Environment. It is important to take water every now and then to make the healthy and preventing of stiffing of internal organs because the water in the body serve as a lubrication to the body.

So i come to dieting: in dieting it is important to take all the classes of food in a meal, it is often refers ro balanced diet. Normally for a good and healthy diet it Important to take all the classes of food in a diet
