One of the great benefits of being blonde is that with low expectations it's quite easy to surprise people all the time. Thanks to the stereotyped "dumb female blonde" you can actually play a perfectly scripted roll all the time and use the benefits of being underestimated whatever conversation you enter.
Now while that dumb blondie character has long time been a staple of Hollywood movies - just thinking about Reese Witherspoon in Legally Blonde or Alicia Silverstone in Clueless -, reality looks quite different.
I don't want to disappoint you, but according to science blondes tend to have an IQ above average. Woooot?

Debunking the myth
Human beings love stereotypes. It's so easy and comfortable to categorize people according to their physical appearance, why even complicate life and think a bit deeper?
Blondes are dumb, brunettes are smart. Period.
Well, not really.
Against the common belief that blondes are especially dumb, it's been scientifically proven that this is not the case. On the contrary, there's been a study from the NSL National Longitudinal Surveys according to that blondes statistically even tend to have an higher IQ than brunettes:
The surprising answer - at least given the prevalent stereotype - is that among white women, those reporting having blonde hair have the highest average IQ and the second-highest median, or midpoint, IQ. - Jay L. Zagorsky
So what do we do with our good old stereotypes then?

I love this! I am blonde and have always battled that stereotype, I remember going for job interviews in the business world when I was young, even had a few say "little missy, let me tell you how things work" Boy did I show them lol Your hair looks amazing both ways :)

Blondes people are also often cast as the evil characters, also. It just seems common in movies.
I need to try to get a phony German accent to appear more intelligent. Try that see how many you can convince that they should use crypto-currencies with a German accent on a Tuesday afternoon and repeat with an Alabama accent the week after. I imagine there would be a market difference.
I don't expect you to go through all of that trouble. I am just expressing my bias about people's biases based on accents. If someone who lives in the Northern U.S. wants to try it, I would be interested in reading the result.

I love this!! I went blonde for a part I was playing and I had NEVER dyed my hair before and I love it! Since then it has been the best social experiment ever. Alright: People have different hair color. But when 'being blonde' is an excuse for some to do stupid things, people with other hair colors that wants to do stupid things and "get away" with it can just dye their hair blonde and excuse it on some myth that blondes are more stupid. That way they, for the untrained eye, confirms that myth as people see them as blonde and behaving blonde-ish. I think this is unfair to those with natural blonde hair, but what do I know, I'm neither female nor blonde :P

It's ok. I'm growing the beard. Ladies seem to like the Mr. Clean look (less the earing), although confidence is what women are most attracted too.
I love women because after you remove the gold diggers (who can be bought), the only ones left are the real women who love a man based more on values rather than looks. Men are more into looks imo!

I can't speak for all the women in the world, but I personally like authentic people who look you into the eyes when they talk to you, who don't tell you what they think you might want to listen but what they have to say, who live a good portion of humor and self-mockery, who are not afraid of being just the way they are - and all that independently from their look.

I was bright blonde until age 4, then I darkened up and I assumed I was a brunette, maybe a little auburn, taking after a redheaded mom. It wasn't until I started putting in the serious hours outdoors in the summer that natural highlights (photo bleaching) were revealed. A woman trying to help guide a colorist toward a natural look stopped me in a salon and asked what dye had been used...I hadn't noticed the hair lightening on my head, just my fairer forearm hair. It still took a couple more years for a stylist to confirm that I am a "very dirty blonde". I don't think my IQ shifted in that moment haha
This summer I took a plunge to lighten in earlier summer and see how blonde I end up when combined with natural lightening. I enjoy the blonde look for the warmer months, but now I think I want to explore some reds when it gets colder and I'm hiding indoors more often. Your cut is adorable, I love the curl out at the ends. Fair hair often means fine hair and this cut is very flattering and gives great volume!
