Total eclipse to be seen across the US first time since 1918

Hey all,

If your looking for that perfect shot. Set Aug. 21 as the date. On this date the moon will pass before the sun and will make a solar eclipse . What makes this so unique, is that it will be visible across the United States! Happy Birthday me! Or would that be an omen? Bahaha

It's going to be amazing! According to Rick Feinberg, of the American Astronomical Society, when the eclipse happens a lot of stars and celestial bodies become visible. The sky will turn deep blue twilight look, ensuring animals will be confused thinking its night time instead of day time.

You'll be able to witness this at around 10:15 GMT. It'll end at 2:15 EDT. 99% will be in the eclipses path on the 21rst, with the exception of Maine.

Excellent post dear friend @syrne very interesting, I am a fan of these things, every time I can try to witness it, also it is not everyday things, thank you very much for sharing this information

Wish you had posted a map showing the path where totality is visable.

Across the US! Except for Maine that's why this is so rare!

Here's what Iam talking about, only people in this path will see a total, others will see an annular eclipse.

Sorry @toadslinger I miss understood you. I'll encorporate this into post and shout out you. Thanks
