Pioneers of Chemistry, To whom Modern World Owe For Their Creative Contributions #2

in science •  7 years ago  (edited)

Friends, in the last post I told about eight such scientists who contributed in chemistry science. In this blog I will share some of these eight other scientists and their contributions.

A Pictorial message of esteem with a brief of their creative unique contributions of a few scientist who unfolded the nature's truth, with a view to make them 'icon' to new comer in seeking knowledge in Chemistry [Chronologically]

(9). Thomas Graham:

The scientist was born on 21 Dec. 1805 in Scotland. He discovered Law of rate of gas diffusion related to its density; with which is know as Graham's Law in 1829 r œ 1/®d.He died in 1868.

(10). Francois Marie Raoult:

He was Born on 10 May 1830 in Francc. He discovered Law of Lowering of vapour pressure of covalent solvent by nonvolatile, non- electrolytc in 1886; known as was a Raoult's Law.He died in 1901.

(11). Julius Lother:

He was Born 19 Aug. 1830 iin Germany. He forwarded a graphical reaction between atomic volumes of different elements and their atomic numbers. He died in 1895.

(12). Dmitri Ivanovich Mendeleev:

The great scientist was Born 7 Feb. 1834 in Russia. He proposed Periodic Law of elements showing relation gas with between their properties and atomic masses. He prepared Periodic table with 63 known elements then For this, Awarded novel prize in 1906. After 1 year later he died in 1907.

(13). Johannes Diderik Vander Waals:

He was born on 23 Nov. 1837 in Natherlands, a dutch chemist. He gave conception of inter moleculer attraction in gases. Established an equation for real gases in 1873.He died in 1923.

(14). Henry Louis Le-Chatelier:

He was Born 8 Oct. 1850 1916 in France. He forwarded a principle about effect of change of 1923 temp., pressure & concn. of reactants on equilibrium of reversible reaction, known as Gilbert Newton Le-Chatelier principle. He died in 1936.

(15). Friedrich Wilhem Ostwald:

He was Born 2 Sept. 1953 in Russia nationalily German. Ostwald dilution law on degree of dissociation of weak electroyte is his credit. He made viscometer to measure viscosity of liquids. He was Awarded Nobel prize in 1909.He died in 1932.

(16). Max Planck:
