No more Al Gore, more science. Identifying natural contributions to late Holocene climate change: Ole Humlum et. al.

October 10-2017

Good morning, afternoon, night depending on where the reader is.

We start with the sunspots as always.
After the very high Solar activity in terms of sunspots during the month of September.
We had up to six sets of sunspots. Some so dangerous that they released solar flares of the most powerful registered.
Today is the second day without sunspots which raises the days without sunspots so far this year to 58. Solar minimum there we go.

Michelson Doppler Camera (MDI) soho/nasa.

In addition to having the names of groups of sunspots we have in the lower right both the size of the Earth and the size of Jupiter. So we can get an idea of the enormous size of the groups of sunspots.

The sunspots, or rather the absence of them indicates in which part of the solar cycle of 11 years in which we are.

According to some theories, the Earth's climate is greatly affected by this cycle. More heat during the solar maximum, colder during the solar minimum.
There is much more to tell but this is roughly what I have been trying to explain with the presentation of some scientific studies on this subject.
For more information, read my previous articles.

As for coronal holes we have one in the northern hemisphere of the Sun. The darkest zone in this wavelength due to its lower temperature compared to the other zones of the solar corona. The fast solar wind coming from that coronal hole will be noticed in hours.

Summary

The current conditions of the space weather are quiet according to the Noaa. Although it does not offer speed data. The solar wind speed is 310 km / sec and the proton density is 10 protons per cubic centimeter according to the NASA Modeling Center.

Surface temperature of Greenland during the last 4000 years.

Central Greenland (GISP2) surface temperature the past 4000 years (blue line). Natural cycle modelled and forecasted data are shown by the green line. The coefficient of determination (r2) for the hindcasting period is 0.63. The timing of certain historical warm periods in Europe is shown by red text, and the timing of Greenland cultures are shown in grey. The overall declining linear temperature trend during the last 4000 years is −0.0052 °C per decade, and is assumed to continue when plotting the forecasted
data beyond 1855. (For interpretation of the references to colour in this figure legend, the reader is referred to the web version of this article.)

That said, I want us to return to the graph at the top. Look at it for a couple minutes.

This graph is a reconstruction of the surface temperature from the ice cores extracted in Greenland.

If we look at the graph we can see that the Earth's thermal trend from the year 2100 BC until now. If we draw a straight line using the points of more temperature, the resulting straight line will give us a decreasing trend.

Or what is the same as the temperature on the earth is decreasing taking into account this period of time.

When theories of global warming arose, they used only a period of time between 1800 and the present time.We return to the graph and note that clearly if we take as starting point the year 1800 the temperature is increasing from that point.
But reducing Earth's climate to a couple of hundred years is like trying to solve a problem with 0.01% of the information needed. And of course take away all the value to paleoclimatologists and their many years of work and studies of Earth's climate.

Personally when someone talks about global warming I always ask the same question.

Since when? What is the reference point from which the temperature of the Earth is increasing?

The amount of misinformation on this subject is horrible. It is largely the fault of the famous Al Gore and his ridículos documentaries.

Documentary in which it is spoken of the rise of the level of the sea and that according to its forecasts this year would be little or no ice at the poles.
And of course they are false and far from being fulfilled there is more ice accumulated than when the infamous documentary was made. And the level of the sea follows its natural rhythm of variations.

Allow me to use an example of a magical place that I had the pleasure of visiting a few years ago when I spent much of my time looking for the Celtic settlements in northwest Spain.

Hill fort of Baroña. Celtic settlement. 1st century BC - 1st century AD.

This Hill fort of Baroña was built and inhabited from a century before Christ until the first century after Christ.

It is located on a small rocky peninsula on the north-west coast of Spain. If Al Gore were right in his predictions, that settlement would not exist. If we return to the graph and see the surface temperature in the 1st century BC was at least 1 degree centigrade higher than the current one.Which leads us to think that if Al Gore's theories were true that rock would be submerged during that period and no one would have built anything there. Although it is true that the level of the oceans is affected by the melting of the poles. Tectonic phenomena can explain locally many of the losses of coastal zones in many areas of the planet while sea level remains stable or even decreases in many other areas of our planet.

Now let's talk about the melting of the North Pole.

The North Pole is thawing?

The answer is no.

The data used for the realization of this graph are provided by the University of Bremen. I could have used other sources that I cited in previous post such as ROOS measurements from Norway. With the same results. The data correspond to the measurement of the Arctic platform - 1 day. Which means that today they take the measurements that will be published tomorrow.

As we can see in the upper right of the image, we have already reached 6 million square kilometers at least a week before that in 2007.

We can see that instead of continuing to diminish over the years according to the theories of global warming , the ice extent it is increasing!

We can see how the accumulated ice measurement on the Arctic platform is within the mean of the historical series 1981-2010. This would be impossible within the framework of global warming theories.
I would like you to spend another minute to see the first graph of this article. And then think about what was happening in the historical point of view in those moments of temperature minima. You will discover very interesting things.

So we could say that the surface temperature of the Earth is declining since the last 4000 years.

And of course the industrialization was not present in the previous temperature increases. All these changes in temperature occurred naturally.

Enjoy your day. Enjoy your life.

Good post

I'm not tech, in the least bit, but I aways find information of our planet, solar system, as well, the Universe very intriguing...WoW!

For me they are intriguing and fascinating at the same time. From that fascination try to share some information that is not seen in the media.
