Yesterday, saw this Los Alamos National Laboratory ADEP-ER Surface Water Protection Project monitoring station. (Got the project name from a sticker on the box.)

It was up the mountain above the Los Alamos labs, in Santa Fe National Forest near Pajarito Spring.

The devices are made by Sutron, which makes environmental and hydrological monitoring equipment.

Now, what exactly the station monitors, I can't say. It was up on a little ridge between two runoff canyons. Maybe you got some idea? Would love ta hear in comments.
