Antibiotics produced by ants

The image above shows foragers of the desert fire ant, solenopsis xyloni, collecting flower nectar.
Some ants create their own antibiotic. It was observed recently that some ants make use of a very strong antimicrobial agents. And discovered that 40% of antspecies tested didn't produce antibiotics.
