Plants use an internationally proscribed weapon to defend themselves.

Although plants are peaceful and gentle, they appear to be powerless in the face of any attack by other organisms, but they possess many weapons distinct to defend itself, some of these defences may be known and familiar to some, but our conversation in this article will be about the wondrous ways for the plants to defend themselves:

Studies have indicated that plants growth can be influenced by sound, and that plants respond to wind and touch, and researchers at the University of Missouri have arrived recently, through a study combining phonetic and chemical analysis, plants respond to the sounds and vibrations of larvae by increased defenses.

in this study the larvae placed on the "Arabidopsis" plant, a small plant,
and using a special laser microphone and a small piece of reflective material installed on the leaf, Researchers have been able to record the vibrations and sounds that are issued when the larvae are chewed for the leaf.

The researchers operated the recordings resulting from the chewing of the larvae for a variety of leaf plants,
Researchers found that plants produce more mustard oils, a chemical that is repellent to the larvae.

What is striking is that plants exposed to other types of sounds, including those resulting from light winds or different sounds, have not increased of its chemical defences, which indicates that plants are able to distinguish the sounds of larvae and other common sounds in the environment.

Mustard gas is one of the most toxic gases on earth, and it has been manufactured and used in many wars to exterminate enemies, and one of the most famous wars in which mustard gas was used is World War II.

Wow muy exotica es

exotica, pero eso es cierto.@glosarlo

A mi me daria miedo atreverme a acercarme a ella

No te preocupes. No hace daño humano ... Pero tienes que advertir al hombre porque es más peligroso que la planta.

That's some really interesting stuff. I once owned a venus fly trap and a few other exotic plants that had similar defenses. They aren't exciting plants though. Once they get the fly they stay closed while the fly decomposes which takes forever! I didn't know of other plants with neat defenses.

Oh my god I can´t believe it. This is truely amazing. Who would have guessed it, that plants are so powerful!!!
