Google finally switched to using the energy received by wind and electric stations! The campaign recently signed contacts with three windmill stations to receive a total of 585 megawatts, and now they receive 3 gigawatts from around the world.
Google's investments in energy have already reached 3.5 billion dollars, 2/3 of which are spent in America.
As soon as the price of solar and wind energy fell by 60-80% Google began serious investments in it. As early as 2010, an agreement was signed with one of the stations in Iowa, which yielded 114 megawatts a year. By 2016, such agreements were already 20. And now it is finally announced that 100% of the energy used by Google is renewable.
As you can see from the graphs, Google is almost twice as fast as the nearest competitor (Amazon) in terms of the amount of renewable energy.
