Complicated Chemistry!

Complex, that you already are,
organic or inorganic
your fretful formulae and mighty methods,
make my mind run million miles a minute,
Oh abominable chemicals,
you are nonetheless a war!

Should I hate you or should I not,
For I know that you shape me!
Yet you burn me, you sting me;
you hurt me, you wreck me
Oh abominable chemicals,
Perhaps one day you'll shatter me, you'll break me.

At the laboratory today, surrounded by flasks filled with chemicals.

Chemistry is certainly not my cup of tea!
