US scientists from the Center for Antimicrobial Resistance Emory, at the American Society of Microbiology, revealed a new microbe of Klebsiella pneumoniae, a pneumonia.
Scientists said the new strain of bacteria is a triple threat to humans because it is resistant to two main types of antibiotics, particularly all antibiotics from the carbapenim group, and because they are very strong and fast moving from one person to another. The outbreak of this dangerous microbial strain was first detected in a hospital in China in 2016 and was then published by Lancet Infectious Diseases.
Although the study of the disease that infected Americans due to these microbes continues, scientists are not satisfied with their data on this new microbe, because of its amazing ability to spread rapidly.
Scientists have also warned against a future increase in pulmonary diseases and called on fellow researchers to closely monitor new bacteria and spread new ones.
