reckoning / ˈrɛk(ə)nɪŋ/ on Steemit - The "ScorpiCobraSnakeoid"

in scifi •  7 years ago

Hello there

As promised here is another introduction to one of the 3D models created for my science fiction comicbook conversion project happening on http://patreon.com/einarpetersen

This post relates to the post - https://www.patreon.com/posts/ladies-and-may-i-14978295 that introduces the

"ScorpiCobraSnakeoid", yeah I know, it probably needs a better name :) it is an amazing alien sculpted for chapter 6 of my Science Fiction Comicbook project "Plight of the Takyüddin" and is sculpted by Carmelo Nazario aka @TheCreatorx3D on Twitter.

The critter you can find in the STL file from TinkerCAD is a prototype of something that is a good mixture of scorpion, cobra, a slug and a little sprinkle of crayfish.

If you'd like to see more creations like this released as CC then I strongly encourage you sign up (risk free) as a Patron (see the main presentation page), that way we can release more models for your 3D Printing pleasure while we are creating an awesome the 3D comicbook.

Yup you read right we are not just creating a comicbook - We are in fact intent on creating an immersive universe for comicbook fans to play around in.

If you are a serious 3D printer and want to print the beast, I can provide the OBJ files used for rendering the above image for printing purposes - Why don't you sign up as a Patron and then hit me up on Twitter @TheEinarkist and let us discuss how to best do that.

I sincerely invite you to go and check out some of the awesome models you find in the user gallery at https://www.tinkercad.com/users/ebbn2H05qC2-einarpetersen in order to get a glimpse of some of the 3D models released under CC for Reckoning.

I would also absolutely love to hear what you think of the idea to release 3D models from a science fiction universe like I am doing here and what you think about the concept of fans printing their own merchandise from shows they might follow.

You can read even more about the creation of this sculpture on https://www.patreon.com/posts/14932442 and see some awesome renderings as well.

If you did not see it already on my Patreon page and on Vimeo you can see an awesome storyboard creation video by Ira Black to which I added some nifty music from Kevin MacLeod of (incompetech.com) - I very much encourage you to use the 3 minutes it takes to get a feel for the project.

Really looking forward to hear from you and hopefully to welcome you as a Patron on https://patreon.com/einarpetersen as well quite soon.

Have a great day and thank you for your time.

All the best

@originalworks would probably agree that the ScorpiCobraSnakeoid from the Reckoning Universe is something of an original - Part snake, part scorpion, part slug and part crayfish and totally alien :) - Another visitor to Steemit from my Reckoning Universe
