By planning for how long shelter somewhere, energy savings and emotional awareness will be maintained.
Own or group
Make a shelter that suits the needs, not too broad and not too narrow so that the warmth of shelter is maintained.Choose a place
to keep comfort and keep warm the shelter and avoid the rapid decline of endurance, note the following;
a. Establish bivouacs protected from wind blowing, do not build bivouacs open place from the wind
b. Establish bivouacs in a dry, flat place, for damp areas, make strong ones. Do not build bivouac slopes or valleys
c. Establish a bivouac under the sun's shade of a tree. Do not build under a fragile and weathered tree
d. In a permanent bivouac situation, try to establish it in an area close to the water source. Do not build river-borne bivouac and animal cross paths.
In areas where we will establish bivouacs should not be a hotbed of mosquitoes or other insects. We also need to consider the ingredients of the bivouac maker. Try bivouac made of strong material and good manufacture, because everything will determine comfort.
There are several conditions that must be considered when we decide to make a bivouac, that is, never make a bivouac in an area that has the potential to flood in the rain. Above the bivouac there should be no trees or branches dead or rotten. It can be dangerous if it collapses.

Some are made from poncho (plastic raincoats), plastic sheet (flysheet) or utilize natural materials, such as leaves, palm fiber, palm leaves, palm leaves, and others.
