Beginning of a SCROG

As promised I am following up on my last post "The begging of a SCROG". If you find yourself here for the first time you might be interested in my previous post as it is directly proportionate to this one except it came first. She is roughly 35 day's old today from seedling sprout.

It's been around seven day's since I last posted and I feel the results so far have been quite good. If you look at the picture above you will notice I started my SCROG with a aggressive trim but promised she would bounce back! Well I am happy with the results so far what do you think?

Above you will notice how much vegetative growth has taken place over the last week. One more week and if I am luck I will be able to induce flowering.

As you can see in the picture above the canopy has spread out beautifully up and against the wire screen. In the following picture below you can see how the typical SCROG appearance is starting to take shape. Although I can't guarantee you have seen anything like it before because I have developed my own unique style.

Everything nice and neat....

SCROG in my opinion is the most efficient way to grow cannabis indoors. When it comes to energy VS output I would without a doubt say a well orchestrated SCROG will give you the best bang for your buck in yields and potency!

In the image below I have outlined the simple technique used in a SCROG, the simple routine of redirecting and tucking new grow tips to maximize coverage and use of resources.

When ScroGing a plant is grows up from underneath up and against a screen (In my case a wire fridge shelf) or something similar. By using LST (low-stress training) your goal is to bend the growths back down under the wire producing an even canopy of buds.

A week from now when I induce flowering I will update and elaborate on a few things. I think one more picture just for fun!

Followed! Looks very nice. Can I ask why you are binding the branches so close to the main stem below the scrog? Why not let them bush out a bit into the screen?

Hi @weeds thanks for the great question. I have found that when growing in a small space like my fridge if I bring everything from the center out I can almost double my yields. As the stem grow out from the center point they produce many new grow tips along the way. If I let her bush out some of the branches only end up with one or two Cola's.

Followed! Keep it up
