Today the golden censer has given me a beautiful verse recited by Moses who led the Israelites out of Egypt and in gratitude to God he sang with joy a song of praise.
Memo: The Lord is my strength and my defense; he has become my salvation. He is my God, and I will praise him, my father’s God, and I will exalt him. [Exodus 15:2 NIV]
This song of Moses is dedicated to praising God for his saving presence and gives us a great lesson about what it means to have a heart grateful to God for his great wonders and the protection of his people.
Really having a grateful heart for God is wonderful and Moses experienced this joy since his song is dedicated only to praise God.
What does it mean to praise God?
To praise God is to recognize his greatness and his mercy in our life by giving thanks with conviction and understanding that everything we receive comes from his hand and this praise must be done with the heart since this is an act of gratitude of man to God in recognition for all the wonders and benefits that God grants him even without deserving it because it is an act of humility to recognize that we do not deserve so much love favor and benefits that God gives us.
However, recognizing it is an act of thanks and this is an honor for God, that is, we rejoice in the heart of God every time we recognize his intervention in our lives.
This verse today comes as a motivating reflection for the golden censer in order to understand that we should all have a grateful heart in front of the father and live with constant gratitude for what has been received and not received.
God granted many benefits to the people of Israel and Moses as their leader and man used for great feats chosen by God, he sang with the people of Israel this beautiful song to the God of his salvation and among so many praises that they said they recognized that Jehovah is their strength and has He was their savior in the midst of the tribulations and the battles they had to face because they understood that they were not alone because Jehovah God was with them as a mighty giant.
The message for us is that we should also have in our mouth a praise of thanks to God for all the benefits received especially for giving us salvation, rescue, protection, bringing us to light and for his saving presence.
